have calculated sizes that exactly fit your camera image formats to standard
roll widths eliminating wastage to provide maximum value. Our fine art
cotton canvas has a traditional woven texture requiring images to be big
and bold to bring out the finer details. Amazingly even lower resolution
digital camera images can be printed at dramatic sizes as we have special

We
create free 'Fine Art' border finishes and 'image wrap' effects:
As
canvas prints need to be stretched around a frame we add an additional
FREE 30mm white or coloured border around your image for the stretcher
frame sides - If you want to 'Wrap' the image around the sides we can
clone, expand or 'mirror' part of your canvas front image outwards into
this area. A further FREE 20mm unprinted border is then added for back
stapling the canvas onto the stretcher frame.

Makeovers: David Myers personally
analizes your pictures before printing. If you wish we can optimise them
to provide much better shadow and highlight details, purer colours and
sharper contours to ensure you end
up with a stunningly beautiful BIG Canvas prints! If your images are too
small we have special 'Fractal' image enlarging and detail enhancing software.
Finally we provide 'before & after' online proofs for
you to evaluate, suggest changes or give final approval. That is what

Image 'Optimisation' Lots of companies now offer 'Prints-on-Canvas' but we are imaging specialists not a discount print house that just dumps your file ut to a printer! We professionally evaluate every image, correct the tones, colours, sharpness and offer additional professional retouching services to produce the best possible print. We have a 30 year history working with digital images, technical and cosmetic retouching, photo restoration and fine art printing. We use 'Museum Approved' archival print systems: The same Epson printers as the ones that produced the recent Amsterdam Rembrandt Exhibition. These units print high density oil based pigment on 350gsm acid free artist's canvas - just like a real oil painting. We air cure and harden the pigment image for 24 hours and add three coats of anti-abrasion UV lacquer increasing fade resistance to over 85 years! The sizes listed utilise the full width of the rolls reducing wastage and optimising the prices!
Not all canvas is archival fine art canvas! The 350gsm Epson Premium Fine Art Water Resistant Canvas we use has a very fine bright white coating that allows the true canvas weave to show through. Many other companies use flimsy nylon canvas that costs half as much and has a matt plastic coating with an embossed 'honeycomb' pattern. The use of premium semi-gloss canvas and gloss lacquer brings out the richness of the colours and produces stunning fine art black and white imagery. Matt canvas can't provide this richness as blacks appear as dark grey. Our 'Fine Photography' exhibitors use our new lustre and gloss fibre papers for this reason.
Image Rescue and Resizing: Are your camera images too small for BIG prints? We have special software to sample them up: Examples. If your monitor is uncalibrated it will likely be too bright and you will be producing very dark images! We can adjust the tones of your images, optimise for fine art printing and perform retouching and photo restorations. See some recent Image Makeovers: Here
Unframed Canvases: You can order rolled canvases to significantly reduce packing and shipping costs for interstate clients. We still add the wrapping borders you need for stretch framing and we print wrapping guide lines on the edges to assist your framer.
Optional Professional Stretch Framing: We use the professional framing services of Framing Workshop one of Australia's top fine art framers. They custom build rigid, heavy duty 38mm section frame from acid free fully seasoned wood. (We don't use flimsy 25mm section frames or 'frame kits' that can shrink and develop loose joints!) The stretched canvas is neatly backed with paper, fitted with wall 'bumpers' and corrosion resistant hanger wire - large frames are cross braced for strength - top craftmanship!
We can create various border finishes and 'image wrap' effects: As canvas prints need to be stretched around a frame we need to add a 38mm white or coloured border around your image for the stretcher frame sides. If you want to 'Wrap' the image around the sides we can clone, expand or 'mirror' part of your canvas front image outwards into this area. A further 18mm unprinted border is then added for back stapling the canvas onto the stretcher frame.
Getting Started: You can send us your digital files in any format via our high speed file transfer page Look for the + at the top right and bottom of each page! Add your eMail address, border choice and any instructions. We will evaluate your image, optimise and send the first low resolution proof for approval or changes. We can also professionally scan all film formats and prints and directly digitise original artworks up to 1m x 2m. and quote on any retouching required. When you approve the imaging and layout your payment can be made online via credit card (details will be forwarded).
